To resolve this issue, you must turn off Simple File Sharing, and then take ownership of the folder:
- Turn off Simple File Sharing:
- Click Start, and then click My Computer.
- On the Tools menu, click Folder Options, and then click the View tab.
- Under Advanced Settings, click to clear the Use simple file sharing (Recommended) check box, and then clickOK.

There are not a lot of differences with configuring FBA for SharePoint 2010 compared to 2007, but there are a few. For instance, SharePoint 2010 no longer supports “classic FBA”, rather forms based authentication is provided through Claims Authentication. I recently needed to configure an ESXi 4.0 server to use the new multi-pathing capability along with jumbo frames. I have done this in the past with “classic” ESX using this fantastic post by Chad Sakac and friends which uses the ESXCFG commands within the service console.
